Don Azevada

Regional Director

Don grew up in California and earned a Social Science Degree from San Jose State University and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Sacramento State University. After teaching at both the Middle School and High School levels, Don became a Teaching American History Grant Project Coordinator and K-12 History/Social Science Program and Curriculum Specialist for the Elk Grove Unified District. Most recently, Don served as a High School Assistant Principal in the El Dorado Union High School District. In 2020, Don earned the Association of California School Administrators, Co-Administrator of the Year Award for Region 2. Don joined The DBQ Project Team in the summer of 2022.
